A 54-year-old British man has been charged in the UK with sexual offences against two children in Kenya.
Simon Harris, of Pudleston, Leominster, Herefordshire, was charged under rarely used legislation allowing UK nationals to be prosecuted for alleged sexual offences committed abroad.
He was arrested at home on Saturday and is accused of attempted rape and sexual activity with a child.
He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court later.
His arrest followed a joint operation between West Mercia Police and the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) earlier this week in the African state.
CEOP was responding to information passed to it by a team from Channel 4 News.
