A Derry man has been told he will stand trial on nine charges of making indecent images of children. Derry Magistrate’s Court heard that Daniel Martin Carlin of Ballyarnett Village “on the basis of evidence before the court, has a case to answer.” Carlin spoke only to confirm he understood the charges which were read out to him and that he had no objection to a preliminary enquiry being held.
Sixty two year old Carlin faces nine counts of making an indecent photograph of a child, on dates between August 24, 2008 and April 9, 2010. The case was adjourned until August 28. Carlin was released on his own bail of £400 and ordered to reside at an address in Ballyarnett Village.
