A DEPUTY headteacher set up secret cameras to spy on and record naked women as they showered.
His shocked wife unearthed a haul of 1,400 videos of victims in various states of undress while looking for proof of his infidelity, Teesside Crown Court was told.
More than 500 child abuse photos downloaded from the internet were also discovered on Glen Rogers’ computers after police were alerted last summer.
Rogers, 46, of Navigation Point, Hartlepool Marina, yesterday admitted 14 charges of voyeurism and three of making indecent images of children.
He received a 13-month jail sentence, which was suspended for two years, with supervision and was ordered to attend a sex offenders’ treatment programme.
Rogers, who the court heard made the films while his marriage to wife Vicky was crumbling, is also now banned from working with children for life.
The offences do not relate to his job as deputy headteacher at St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College, in Bishop Auckland, which he quit after his arrest.
A statement from the school read: “Glen Rogers has not worked at our school since July last year when the matter was first brought to our attention.
“We have co-operated fully with police during the investigation and have been assured that the activity on which he has been convicted took place away from school.
“We have an outstanding record on safeguarding and have written to all parents about the situation.”
